The latest generation Tangem Wallet offers users an even better experience when managing their digital assets. Namely, it offers a Seed-Phrase option. Many Tangem users have requested the addition of the option to import and export their wallets via seed-phrase technology.

There are now three ways to generate a seed-phrase (recovery phrase) in the new Tangem wallet:

1. Using the certified True Random Number Generator TRNG, which generates and stores the keys in the chips of the cards. No one knows the private key in this process. And no copies exist outside your Tangem cards (recommended by the tangem team).
2. Using the Tangem app and importing it to the card.
3. Importing the recovery phrase from another wallet.

There is no change for users who prefer not to use a seed phrase.

Tangem's philosophy of not using seed phrases remains unchanged. They recommend using the new Tangem Wallet in the same way as the first-generation Tangem Wallet.

Note: If you create the wallet without the seed phrase option, it will never be possible to generate a seed phrase later.
