Method

The 12 words vs. 24 words backup method:

The Trezor One model used a standard 24-word seed. However, the Trezor T and Trezor Safe 3 models had a standard 12 words. Therefore, Trezor has chosen 12 words as the new standard for their products. Trezor argues that a 12-word backup is almost as secure as a 24-word backup. However, almost all other hardware wallets have set 24 words as the default. Since the 24 words can be used in both situations, we sell them. There is no quality difference between the 12 and 24-word backups.
