Cryptotag Odin 3 is a truly unique multi share solution designed exclusively for the Trezor Shamir Backup method. It solves the biggest problem of regular backups. Namely, the single point of failure problem. With Shamir Backup, you can divide your recovery sentence into 3, 5, 7 or several parts. Thereby, Cryptotag Odin 3 allows you to store the different parts in damage-resistant titanium hexagons (hexagonal format, see picture).

You decide how many parts are needed to recover your crypto wallet, for example:

• 3 parts with a recovery threshold of 2
• 5 components with a recovery threshold of 3
• 7 parts with a recovery threshold of 4

5 simple steps

1. Write your recovery words on the conversion sheets provided.
2. Find the corresponding numbers in the SLIP39 word list.
3. Write down the numbers on your conversion sheets.
4. Use the centre punch tool to mark the numbers on the titanium hexagons and burn the conversion sheets
5. Divide and hide your titanium hexagons.

You now have your own safe Shamir backup. Be careful and keep it safe!

Why numbers instead of words?

The SLIP39 method uses numbers instead of words. Numbers are easier to store in titanium than long words. It is very simple. Please note that SLIP39 only works with the Trezor Shamir Backup on the Trezor Model T.
